Figure 3 shows the typical sidewall von Mises stress distribution and
corresponding equivalent plastic strain. A significant portion of the lower sidewall is
plastically deformed. The coarser mesh cannot adequately capture the plastic
deformation of the sidewall, which leads to an overestimation of the stiffness of the
structure.
